"Wonder rather than doubt is the root of all knowledge." ~Abraham Joshua Heschel
saw this just now and thought it was interesting and worth some thought. but "late" is approaching and i need to get to bed before it comes.

hmm. perhaps wonder causes a search for knowledge.
and doubt causes one to dismiss the importance of a given thing.
You two are brainiacs.
Here's as much as I can get from that stuff.
I wonder what's for dinner?

is dad going existentialist? has "dinner" become "knowledge" in some way?
and really he's asking the deep question: "what is knowledge?"
(yet, as an existentialist, that's up to his determination...but ultimately it means nothing and is unexplainable.)
hmmm...that's deep, dad. deep.
he has surpassed us, no doubt! his question is tough and i'm not sure we can reach a conclusion. but it has lead me to wonder . . . what did he have for dinner?
"no doubt" -- good, because doubt will not lead to knowledge.
i don't doubt he had dinner.
dad, we were wondering, what did you have for dinner?
Pork chops!
Yum!
it worked!
wonder led to knowledge.
thanks dad, now we know!
an excellent experiment! well done, family!
sgreat!
Hmmm. Wonder provoking quote.
Although I had thought that the fear of the LORD is the beginning of wisdom, And the knowledge of the Holy One is understanding.
But maybe that's just me.
And it is decided; we are having pork chops for dinner tonight. Thanks for the menu suggestion.
