Seriously, forgivness is a HUGE thing! By nature we do not want to ask for forgivness because that implies wrong doing.
I tell you what the best life lesson I got on forgivness is watching my mom these past 23 years deteriorate in health and spirit because she refuses to forgive my dad. (yes they are divorced) She is so very bitter and it is slowly killing her. HOWEVER, she doesn't see it that way. She says she has forgiven my dad. Yeah right!
I tried to tell her forgiving someone doesn't say what they did was ok, but rather frees us to move on. It is to give up our right to be upset with the other person.
sigh. So many people would be set free from self imposed hell, if they would only forgive!
